The Ascent solution for UKMFTS will be based on a holistic Training System Design (TSD). The holistic TSD will be implemented via a number of discrete programmes (AJT, EFT etc.). Whilst the programmes will be managed as individual entities, they are closely interlinked. The students will all pass through a number of the training courses as they move from ab initio students to pilots and rear crew, ready for the Operational Conversion Units (OCUs). Ascent, in its role as the Training System Partner (TSP), is charged with ensuring that when all the programme pipelines have been implemented they collectively deliver the training as specified within the holistic TSD.
