Andrew Cromwell – Acquisition Director
Current Role
Andrew was appointed Acquisition Director in March 2008.
Responsible for acquiring the capability, in terms of infrastructure, training equipment and aircraft, necessary to deliver flight training services to students from the UK’s military services.
Previous roles
Joined VT Group to take up a seconded role as Procurement Director of AirTanker Ltd, a 25 year, £13bn, PFI contract to provide the MoD with a replacement air-tanking service. Was responsible for successfully leading the negotiation of contracts with the five Shareholder companies, EADS, Thales, VT Group, Rolls Royce and Cobham.
Joined British Aerospace after leaving college and gained a broad business background holding posts in finance, sales, commercial and procurement at Guided Weapons and Avionics Systems and Equipment divisions.
Andrew is a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply. He is a keen golfer and is married with three children.
